Vesak is a special occasion for those who are committed to upholding the teachings of the Buddha. It honours the Birth, Awakening, and Demise of the Siddhartha Gautama Buddha. For all people, it is a day of peace as it allows anyone to practice kindness, compassion, and introspection.

During Vesak, we should fortify our faith in the Triple Gem in order to practice Dhamma preached by the Buddha. If we put the humanity, kindness, and compassion that the Buddha exemplified into action, those actions will be the best answers to many of the current issues. It will also be the greatest tribute to the Buddha on the day when he is remembered.

Join us on Vesak Day as we pray for world peace and harmony, the resolution of human disputes and crisis, and the fulfilment of both spiritual and material aspects of life.

May the Blessings of noble Triple Gem be upon all of you!

On behalf of Singapore Buddhist Mission, Venerables and committee members wish everyone a blissful Vesak! !
