Peter Ung works in the healthcare sector as a Senior Consultant. He grew up in the U.S. and came to Singapore in 2011. His parents imparted Asian values, while outside the home western influences were inescapable.

His medical education and career as a medical doctor exposed him to the suffering of others, impermanence, and other existential ideas. All these experiences and influences resulted in personal beliefs and values that helped him to achieve work life harmony, wellbeing, and financial stability.

He learnt Buddhism and was surprised to find that Buddhist teachings are compatible with many of his beliefs and values. He aspires to help others navigate life challenges so that they can attain sustainable happiness and wellbeing, while contributing to the furtherment of their Buddhist practice, which he found to be complementary to secular life.
