FLAGSHIP EVENTS

VESAK DAY

The time of the year which we celebrate the birth, enlightenment and pari-nibanna (death) of the Buddha. We recollect the 45 years of vast knowledge and reconnect with the Triple Gems in faith, prayers and gratitude. SBM also celebrates Vesak day through a special Vesak concert which we aim to bring the teachings of the Buddha to the community at large.

KATHINA DAY

Kathina Day is a Buddhist festival which comes at the end of Vassa, the three-month rainy season retreat for Buddhists. It is a time of giving, for the lay devotees to express gratitude to their monastics. Lay Buddhists bring donations to temples, which includes new robes for their spiritual advisors. Singapore Buddhist Mission organizes Kathina Day every year to a large swathe of participants and in this day of merit-making, it is also where the members and lay Buddhists alike remind themselves of the value of gratitude and appreciative joy.

CAMP EHI-PASSIKO

The is our annual flagship project which began in 1997 by the SBM Youth team and to date, we have organized more than 30 camps with a wealth of experience bring Dhamma to young Buddhist ages 12 - 21.

BUDDHIST INDIE GAMES

This Bi-annual programme aims to foster a healthy living, teamwork and bonding between the Buddhist youth community via sports such as soccer, basketball, captains ball, frisbee and badminton. We have connected with more than 300 participants in our most recent BIG! Go BIG or Go Home.
